“Track your office plants!”… What? Office plants?

Thursday, September 24th, 2009

No surprise that IT-managers have to keep absolutely all IT-assets inventoried. However, not all of them can be automatically scanned, since not all of them are connected to network, or run standard software. Today we are releasing the update which lets you add any assets you want to the network tree, and even include them in your reports! Meet version 3.6.1069!

Add any IT assets to your inventory

Since Network Inventory Advisor 3.6.1069, manually added assets just like other nodes in your network can be managed by adding custom data fields, which can later be used in reports.

Among other improvements, we are proud to highlight the following ones:

  • new fields in Hardware -> Memory report: Available memory slots and Used memory slots
  • agent utility now collects Disk Serial Number in a custom way to prevent WMI errors
  • correct handling of multi-core CPUs
  • antivirus and security software detection in 64-bit systems
  • Windows Product Key collection in 64-bit systems
  • network assets sorting is not case-sensitive
  • improved automated inventory data import which lead to duplicate entries in network tree
  • occasional erroneous filling of all the fields in the tabular report with the active user’s name
  • unexpected appearing of previously deleted nodes on application restart
  • localhost scanning in case of node’s missing IP-address
  • more fixes in tabular reports in relation to custom fields inclusion
  • etc…
  • Please, feel free to download the updated version any time.
